There’s another old interesting thing called the estates of the realm. These are the loudest voices in/on the social sphere, roughly.

With a more classical view one could say with additions that:
    • 1st estate: Church and clergy
    • 2nd estate: Nobles, elites, magistrates, government administrators or offices
    • 3rd estate: Peasants, commoners, or the people
    • 4th estate: The press, news, and media gauntlet
    • 5th estate: Journalists, technocrats, scientists, and other authoritative figures, influencers, podcasters, and other powerful independent voices alike.
    • 6th estate: Corporations and collective corporate powers

If somehow (anything’s possible nowadays) the fourth through sixth become as distrusted as the first and second, then know that for the record I was simply a commoner… just one of the people. ;)

I’m lucky enough to still get free proof reading/linking. I’ve got random aggregators running about that I don’t read but others really like to.

Understanding what’s up at a glance today is no joke. Misleads are everywhere and journalists play on ultra hardcore mode. News link aggregators are so-so, but too linear, and lack dimension.

Parliaments have Hansard (uh from Thomas) for sussing out contradictions. But for the news, I’m thinking more like Reading Steiner… These timelines are wild bro.

    My extended thinking mode:

Question: is x/y/z. So what do you think about AI?

AI but which AI? ? ChatGPT? ? Just the model? Tooling? Images? Diffusion, , ? Autoregression? What? Using chatbots? Agents? Harnesses? Voices? Runtimes? So AI is amazing, but which AI dang it? The product, the technology, or the industry? The market or the consumers? ? Deep learning? Protein folding? Cameras? Drones? Wait. AI automation? Automation is amazing! Hold on. What is this brilliant use of contextual magic? Fool! You’re out of time!

    Response: I don’t know. AI is x/y/z?

I’ve been asked a lot about predictions lately. Unfortunately, predictions are not my thing. I’d say, pay attention to what party insiders are saying (good luck).

Successful prediction is knowledge unevenly distributed, forcefully distributed (or something like that).

I got reminded of a really old post on browsers too and I hope it doesn’t hold up. I’d rather the tokens be fungible and not non-fungible (hoho).
