I feel for the confused folks? We should’ve swapped to proportional voting and fixed election dates already. It’d remove so much kiddish futility. Let’s be honest, no majority actually cares about candidates, independents, or independent boundaries (proof)!
Who even watches/reads news closely anyway!? Ignoring independents, say, with a crude proportional system of closed list party representation, the results would’ve looked like:
- Governing Party: 21 seats (51% of 41 seats) - Opposing Party: 15 seats (35% of 41 seats) - Third Party: 5 seats (12% of 41 seats) We “copied” New Zealand (proof) on taxes, might as well copy the rest, imo.
