I guess some like the humor here? Whenever the will programmers be replaced question comes up, I skim global market job stats/details, then reply with a tongue-in-cheek variant of: I thought, like farmers, we replaced them already (ap, hmi). You can’t replace what isn’t really there?
In short; WordPress is a miracle and users are the ultimate programmers. Before time began, my client projects were delivered/configured forcibly using GUIs or template generator frameworks with derivative input/outputs. Anything else was a poor use of time or exploratory entertainment.
Thanks to the industry’s obsessive programming focus though, even sandboxing has mainstream attention and possibly alternative OS design too. I’m thinking of finally learning Assembly using AI to try out the “hand coding” everyone speaks of so much.
