What's funny about the
[NixOS](https://nixos.org/download.html#download-nixos)/[GNU Guix](https://guix.gnu.org/)
design is that it tricks developers into writing their own system packages. That
would never happen on other Linux distributions. I'm slowly favoring Guix
though, since the new `nix`
[flake interface](https://nixos.org/manual/nix/unstable/command-ref/new-cli/nix3-flake.html#flake-format)
couples too tightly with [`git`](https://git-scm.com/).
