I've been thinking about
[scams lately](https://www.scb.gov.bs/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Public-Notice-No-2-of-2025-Re-Creators-Alliance-4April25.pdf).
The most elusive are both scams and not scams, {{< abbr i.e "that is" >}},
scamming from the "superposition" (if you will).

Scammers thrive on confusion. If large groups of people say that a scheme
worked, and others the _exact_ opposite, then something's phishy.

What makes ponzi,
[miracle man](/tdro/messages/critical/#tdro-messages-critical), and "dead
donkey" scams truly ingenious is that victims may defend the scam. Since it
_did_ work or losses were minimal, the
[misdirection](https://old.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1j1xzzs/help_creator_alliance_scam/#:~:text=I%20have%20invested%201999)
is completely on [autopilot](https://old.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1j1xzzs/help_creator_alliance_scam/#:~:text=fake%20accounts%20and%20AI).
