Reality is a bonus stage in the lifecycle of jokes/memes.
[VanillaJS](http://vanilla-js.com/), [ZeroVer](https://0ver.org/), and
"[The Year of The Linux Desktop](https://www.pcmag.com/opinions/2021-is-the-year-of-linux-on-the-desktop)"
are semi--serious concepts now. Makes me {{< abbr lol "laugh out loud" >}}. This
is the case for everything --- including politics.

Rumor has it that a certain country's political discourse is actively "memed" by
anonymous forums on the Internet. That's some
[Serial Experiments Lain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Experiments_Lain)
type spookiness --- funny, until it becomes utterly terrifying.
