I tend to use Weston (also as a kiosk) in Wayland and
then [Awesome Window Manager](https://awesomewm.org/) in X11. I've been scuttled back
into desktop/{{< abbr wm "window manager" >}} agnosticism, but temptingly Weston has a
[Lua shell](https://www.collabora.com/news-and-blog/news-and-events/weston-15-here-lua-shells-vulkan-rendering-smoother-display-stack.html#:~:text=lua%2Dshell) now?

Awesome is awesome and there's also [some](https://github.com/trip-zip/somewm#somewm)
that's not `awesome` but awesomely compatible in Wayland. If you don't know what's
X11/Wayland, may you continue to have a wonderful day.
